ESTEL OPEN. MOSCOW – NIZHNY NOVGOROD

“The river Volga flows from far away...” goes a famous Russian song.

A cruise ship called the Little Prince seemed to fly over the waves, as its decks and cabins became the places of creativity, networking, brainstorming, searching for new ideas, and just a full and happy life. The mighty Volga river flew overboard, while on board there were true artists.

The summer ESTEL OPEN 2022 was held in the format of a voyage. The guests visited five old cities, experienced the power and freshness of a great river, got inspired, and realized what it really means to be “in the same boat”. Every one felt like an important member of a large team, a big family.

Both on their way and during stops the participants faced creative challenges. In Myshkin, as part of START UP project, they presented their concepts of beauty salons. In Yaroslavl, on a sun-drenched embankment, they opened a traditional OPEN SALON ESTEL, created an unimaginable number of looks, and brought joy to many clients. In Kostroma, the stylists did a creative shoot and held a gala show of their own collections.

Full fashion presented on the catwalk was inspired by the impressions they got from the voyage and visiting old Russian cities. The collections turned out to be very diverse, but with a common thread of reinventing the Slavic motifs in a modern way. The symbols of the sun, folk elements in hairstyles and makeup, and unexpected ornaments could be seen in looks presented by the stylists in one of the most ancients Russian cities. Even its name, Kostroma, refers to an Old Slavic deity who is the patron of spring. The gala show was the high point of ESTEL OPEN.

The applause ceased. New knowledge and ideas have settled in the minds. And in the end of the event, white balloons were released by the participant into the air, symbolizing perfection, loyalty, and bright spirits. Thanks to everybody who spent these wonderful summer days with us! ESTEL OPEN is a circle of creators, kindred spirits and like-minded people, always looking in the same direction.
