The Book of Fairy Tales

The ESTEL team of stylists created hairstyles for Vyacheslav Zaytsev’s show timed to coincide with the release of the Russian Silhouette art calendar.

The collector’s edition, this year called The Book of Fairy Tales, presented famous actresses dressed as heroines of Russian folklore, such as Vasilisa the Beautiful, the Shamakhan Queen, and the Mistress of the Copper Mountain. The evening when the general public first saw the new calendar was also filled with magic, thanks to the unique fashion show.

Preparations took place at the Vyacheslav Zaytsev Fashion House. Here, the team of ESTEL stylists was creating hairstyles for models that corresponded to the show’s concept. Each coiffure was distinguished by exquisite details, while hair remained at all times glossy and smooth, perfected with COUTURE styling. Hairstyles made at the Fashion House were conceived as the perfect “canvases” for bright accessories.

During the fashion show, rich patterns, intense shades and luxurious hair ornaments reigned on the catwalk. Models’ heads were crowned with detailed art objects, revealing the beauty of the looks. A flawless base, a straight parting, an exquisite bun... and eye-catching lush flower buds on top. The models seemed to have stepped onto the catwalk right from the pages of books, the very ones that each of us read in childhood.

For the show, Vyacheslav Zaytsev chose costumes from different collections to keep everything in a single fairy-tale style. That evening, the quintessence of his work over 65 years was presented on the catwalk. The more precious is the master’s trust in ESTEL FASHION TEAM. The show had to go perfectly, and it did.

The atmosphere of the past was also set by the space itself. The fashion show was held at the Museum Collection, the main exhibits of which are old mechanical rarities: from outlandish clocks to self-playing musical instruments.

Everything turned out so that the guests would forget about their everyday life and be transported to the mythical, marvelous and bewitching world of fairy tales.
